Recipe instructions
- Dampen the egg and put on the herbs for decoration (I use peppermint leaves).
- For polka dotted pattern, use grains coating the egg with rice, groats etc.
- For lines, use yarn twisting around the egg.
- Prepare stockings or gauze cutting in the pieces of two sizes bigger than egg.
- Fill the stocking or gauze (or wrinkled paper can be used too) with onion skins and put the egg inches Stretch the fabric all around the egg and tie with thread.
- Steep the eggs in a pot filled with water. Boil for about 12 minutes, until they are completely dyed.
- For brighter color add salt to water.
- When the eggs are boiled, remove them with a slotted spoon. Refrigerate, unwrap the eggs and look what has drawing up.
- In order to shine, grease the eggs with butter or bacon skin.
