Melt and pour soap (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 3-5 per serving.
Recipe instructions
- Break the glycerin in 1x1 inches squares.(some are already broken or the perimeter is 1/2 in x 1/2 in). Melt at 30 second intervals in microwave or over a double boiler. Stir after every interval.
- Once melted, stir again. Do not bring to a boil. Mix in the honey and cinnamon.
- Pour in molds to desired thickness. If you would like the oatmeal just on the top of the soap, stir in and let settle while the soap is still thin.(If you are new to this, the bottom will be the top of the soap!) If you want oatmeal all through it, save for later.
-
For evenly distributed oatmeal, wait until a layer forms over top and it begins to thicken. With a spoon, take top layer off and slowly stir in oatmeal, one teaspoon at a time.
