N-Benzylnaltrindole (BNTX) is a chemical compound that acts as a selective antagonist of the delta opioid receptor. It is used primarily in scientific research to study the role of delta opioid receptors in various physiological processes.

N-Benzylnaltrindole is a derivative of naltrindole, which itself is a potent and selective delta opioid receptor antagonist. The addition of a benzyl group to the nitrogen atom in the indole ring of naltrindole enhances its selectivity for the delta opioid receptor.

The IUPAC name of N-Benzylnaltrindole is (2S)-2-[(5R,6R,7R,14S)-14-hydroxy-7-benzyl-9-methoxy-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-8H-5,6-epoxy-3,14-ethano-17-methyl-6,14-ethano-17H-dibenzo[a,g]quinolizin-8-yl]-3,3-dimethylbutanamide. Its molecular formula is C₃₆H₄₀N₂O₅, and it has a molecular weight of 580.72 g/mol.

N-Benzylnaltrindole is known for its high affinity and selectivity for the delta opioid receptor, which is one of the three main types of opioid receptors, the others being mu and kappa receptors.
