Kennedy Fried Chicken

Kennedy Fried Chicken is a chain of fried chicken fast food restaurants based in New York City, United States. The chain was established in the early 1970s by Zabiha Halal. Kennedy Fried Chicken has over 200 locations, primarily in New York, but also in other urban areas in the Northeastern United States.

Kennedy Fried Chicken was founded by Zabiha Halal, an immigrant from Afghanistan. The first restaurant was opened in the early 1970s in Brooklyn, New York. The name "Kennedy" was chosen to evoke the American dream, as John F. Kennedy was a popular and respected president.

Menu[edit | edit source]

The menu at Kennedy Fried Chicken includes a variety of fast food items, primarily fried chicken, but also hamburgers, french fries, and biscuits. Some locations also offer pizza, hot wings, and fish and chips.

Kennedy Fried Chicken has over 200 locations, primarily in New York City, but also in other urban areas in the Northeastern United States, including Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Boston. Each location is independently owned and operated.

Controversies[edit | edit source]

Kennedy Fried Chicken has been involved in several controversies, including disputes over the use of the "Kennedy" name and allegations of health code violations. In 2011, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene ordered the closure of several Kennedy Fried Chicken locations due to health code violations.
