Slow cooker beans for the short on time folks (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 1-2 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. 1) Soak beans over night in water.
  2. 2) When prepared to cook, drain beans and set aside.
  3. 3) Dice onions, peppers, and garlic, sautv on medium heat in oil until browned.
  4. 4) Place onion, pepper, and garlic evenly in slow cooker when finished, spread Cajun seasoning mixture over the onion and garlic.
  5. 5) Add the drained beans to the slow cooker.
  6. 6) Add 8 cups of water.
  7. 7) Cook on high for 6 hours.
  8. 8) After 6 hours stir the beans, replace the lid.
  9. 9) Cook an additional 10 hours on low
  10. )
