1CP-LSD

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellness Encyclopedia

1cP-LSD or 1-cyclopropionyl-lysergic acid diethylamide is a psychedelic drug of the lysergamide class that is a derivative and functional analogue of LSD and a homologue of ALD-52. It has been sold online as a designer drug since 2019.

History[edit | edit source]

1cP-LSD was first synthesized in 2019 by the research chemical company Lizard Labs in response to the global ban on 1P-LSD and ALD-52. It was introduced to the market as a legal alternative to these substances.

Pharmacology[edit | edit source]

Like LSD, 1cP-LSD likely acts as a 5-HT2A receptor partial agonist. The psychedelic effects are believed to come from 1cP-LSD’s efficacy at the 5-HT2A receptors. However, the role of these interactions and how they result in the psychedelic experience continues to remain elusive.

Effects[edit | edit source]

The effects of 1cP-LSD are believed to include cognitive euphoria, distorted perception of colors, time, sounds and shapes, hallucinations, and spontaneous tactile sensations. The effects are similar to other psychedelic substances like LSD, psilocybin, and DMT.

Legal Status[edit | edit source]

The legal status of 1cP-LSD varies by country. In the United States, it is not controlled but it could possibly be considered an analogue of LSD, making it illegal under the Federal Analogue Act. In Germany, it is legal for scientific and medical research purposes but not for human consumption.
