D-I-y sushi (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about zero per serving.
Recipe instructions
- Rinse rice in water and prepare in a sauce pan or rice cooker with 2 cups of water.
- Prepare Sushi Rice Mix (Optional): mix together rice vinegar, sugar and salt in a saucepan in low to medium heat until mixture is clear.
- When rice has cooked, transfer to a non-reactive bowl and pour sushi rice while stirring rice.
- Cut Salmon into 1/4 by 1 1/25 inch thick slices.
- Cut Nori into 1x3 inch pieces.
- For Dip: Mix soy sauce and lemon (and wasabi if preferred).
- Serve Rice, salmon, and nori and soy sauce dip separtely for guests to assemble on their own
