Easy rouladen (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of 0-1 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Heat oven to 250.
  2. Spread a thin layer of mustard on each slice of meat; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Top with chopped onion and bacon.
  4. Roll meat and secure with a couple toothpicks.
  5. Heat oil in a dutch oven (or any deep, oven-safe pot with a lid).
  6. Brown meat rolls in oil until browned well on each side.
  7. Add approximately 1 cup of water to the pan, cover and bakefor 3 hours.
  8. Remove the meat and thicken drippings with flour or cornstarch to make gravy.
  9. Add sour cream to gravy, heat thoroughly but do not boil
