Caesar chicory scoops (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 3-5 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Slowly fry the lardons in a small grying pan until they are crisp.
  2. REmove from the pan and leave to cool on kitchenpaper to absorb any excess fat.
  3. Finely shred the chicken and lettuce.
  4. Place in a bowl and add the croutons, dressing, parmesan and lardons.
  5. Season with some freshly ground pepper, then mix everything gently together.
  6. Spoon the Caesar salad onto the chicory leaves, leaving the base ends free to act as handles.
  7. Sprinkle with parmesan shavings and grind black pepper over the top.
  8. Arrange on a plate and they are ready to eat!.
