Avocado and bacon salad (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 4-5 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Wash lettuce, dry thoroughly, put in a plastic bag and refrigerate to crisp.
  2. Cut tomatoes into quarters.
  3. Peel avocado, cut in half and remove seed.
  4. Slice avocado thinly, dip into French dressing to avoid discoloration.
  5. Chop bacon finely, fry until crisp.
  6. Drain bacon on absorbent paper.
  7. At serving time, tear lettuce into pieces, place lettuce on individual serving plates.
  8. Add tomatoes and avocado slices.
  9. Sprinkle with French dressing.
  10. Top with bacon and parsley.
