Faux burger (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 1-2 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Drain the Tofu well and break up into little pieces in to a medium sized bowl.
  2. In a dry frying pan, roast the Allspice, Cumin, Coriander, Cloves, Chili Powder and Tellicherry Black Pepper until fragrant.
  3. Whisk the Flax Seed and the warm water together to make a paste.
  4. Add the roasted spices, the Sweet Basil, Salt and the Flax Seed paste to the Tofu.
  5. Mix very well, breaking up the tofu into a fine grain.
  6. Form into patties by pressing them very well to squeeze the tofu together.
  7. Fry in Olive Oil set to Medium - High heat.
  8. This can be served with your favorite sandwich fixings, or with any dish .
