Cajun style pork (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 4-5 per serving.
Recipe instructions
- In a large skillet, brown pork shops on both sides in a little of the butter. Sprinkle with salt and cayenne pepper. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add remaining butter to skillet. Add chopped onion and garlic. Saute for a few minutes until soft, but not browned.
- Add bay leaf, paprika, black pepper and thyme leaves. Stir to combine. Add chicken broth and wine.
- Heat to simmer.
- Return pork chops to skillet. Simmer, covered, over medium heat for about 20 minutes.
- Remove chops.
- Add sour cream to sauce in pan. Stir. Heat slowly, stirring. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour sauce over pork. Service with steamed rice and broccoli.
