Tasty guacamole (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 4-5 per serving.
Recipe instructions
- Empty meat of both avocados into large mixing bowl.
- Chop the onion.
- Chop the Roma tomato (discard seeds and watery bits).
- Mince the garlic cloves.
- Mince the jalapeno.
- Mash the avocados with a potato masher or back of a fork (or food processor if you have one) until a relatively smooth consistency (if using food processor, don't liquify or puree -- a few little lumps are fine).
- Add the onion, tomato, garlic, jalapeno, cilantro, salt and juice of one lime to the avocados.
- Mix all ingredients into the avocado.
- Allow to chill for at least 30 minutes for flavors to meld.
- Check and adjust salt as necessary.
- Enjoy!
- Note 30 minutes \Cook time\ refers to chilling time.
