Chicken with rosemary and garlic (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of 0-1 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Remove the neck and giblets from the chicken cavity and reserve them for another use.
  2. Trim away any excess fat.
  3. Sprinkle the chicken inside and out with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Put the garlic and rosemary inside the cavity and place the chicken in the slow cooker.
  5. Rub it all over with the oil.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours, or until the chicken is tender and the temperature in the thickest part of the thigh measures 165 degrees on an instant-read thermometer.
  7. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and cut into serving pieces.
  8. Skim the fat from the pan juices and discard.
  9. Drizzle the pan juices over the chicken.
  10. Serve hot.
