Sausage stuffed jalapenos (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 4-5 per serving.

Recipe instructions

1. Cut both ends off of the jalapenos,slice in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
2. Mix cream cheese and sausage together and place a couple spoonfuls inside each pepper. Put two pepper halves together and wrap a bacon piece around each, securing with a toothpick.
3. Bakeat 400 degrees for 20min.
4. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cook for an additional 20-25min.
5. Bacon should be done which means the sausage will be too.
