Swiss cheese balls (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 1-2 per serving.
Recipe instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- In a sauce over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in the 2 T flour.
- Add milk and stir to mix well.
- Add the Swiss cheese and seasonings to taste.
- Stir so all ingredients are well combined.
- Add the egg yolks and remove from the heat.
- Pour mixture in a 9x9\ baking dish.
- Bakein the preheated 300 degree oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove the dish from the oven and refrigerate for 2 hours or until completely cooled.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer.
- Form balls and roll in the additional flour.
- Deep fry the cheese balls, a few at a time, until golden brown.
- Remove from hot oil and drain.
