Grilled drunken pina colada shrimp (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 1-2 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Peel the shrimp (the really big ones don't have the vein!).
  2. Mix the pina with the rum.
  3. Pour over shrimp, reserving a small amount for the grilling process.
  4. Marinate for no longer than 30 minutes or the acids will turn it into ceveche.
  5. Grill for approximately 2 minutes each side, brushing each side with mix.
  6. Serve with the above mentioned aioli or your favorite tropical/sweet sauce.
