Spicy chicken and garlicky mushrooms (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 4-5 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Sprinkle the chicken with your favorite spice and press into the chicken then let it sit. (you could do this over night or a few hours earlier for better tasted).
  2. While your chicken is marinade the chicken, chop up the garlic and warm up chicken broth in a sauce pan.
  3. Place the garlic and the butter in a frying pan and let it sit for about 10 minutes (it won't hurt to add more of your spice to this mixture).
  4. Meanwhile, place the chicken in the boiling broth and let it simmer on med-low.
  5. Remove the garlic and then add 3/4 C (from the saucepan) to the frying pan.
  6. Add the mushrooms to the broth in the frying pan and let them simmer for about 10 more minutes.
  7. When the mushrooms are complete, your chicken should be as well. I usually layer it on top of rice and it is a big hit with my family!.
