Meat and cheese stromboli (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 4-5 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 8F.
  2. In a large skillet, saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender, set aside.
  3. On two greased baking sheets, roll each loaf of dough into a 15-in. x 12-in. rectangle.
  4. Arrange the salami, ham and cheeses lengthwise over half of each rectangle to within 1/2 inches of edges.
  5. Top with onion mixture; sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder and pepper.
  6. Fold dough over filling; pinch edges to seal well.
  7. Brush with egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  8. Bakefor 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool 5 minutes before slicing.
