Texas surprise (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 4-5 per serving.
Recipe instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 8F.
- Place garlic cloves in boiling water.
- Blanch 3-4 minutes.
- Drain.
- Peel and set aside.
- Combine jalapeno, crushed garlic (NOT the cloves you just peeled), sausages and baking mix in food processor.
- Process until well combined.
- Add cheese and process until just combined.
- Shape mixture into balls.
- Press a peeled garlic clove into the center of each ball.
- Place on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- These may be frozen after shaping. Bakethem without thawing, but increase time an additional 5-10 minutes
