Baked crisp-coated mushrooms (recipe)


  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Line a jelly roll pan with foil.
  3. In small bowl, combine egg, onion and hot pepper sauce; blend well.
  4. Place flour in plastic bag.
  5. Place crushed cracker crumbs in shallow pan.
  6. Place mushrooms in bag with flour; shake to coat.
  7. For each mushroom, shake off excess flour. Dip each into egg mix; coating well.
  8. Dip or roll in crumbs.
  9. Place on foil-lined pan.
  10. Spray lightly with oil.
  11. Bakefor 8-12 minutes or unti hot and crisp.
  12. To re-heat: Allow mushroom to thaw; bakeas directed.
  13. Note: Can substitute broccoli florets for mushrooms.
