Sage mushrooms (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 4-5 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat; cook the onion, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until softened.
  2. Add the mushrooms and garlic; cook for about 12 minutes or until no liquid remains.
  3. Add the wine, salt and pepper; cook for 4 minutes or until the wine has almost evaporated.
  4. Stir in the sage.
