Cuban style marinated steak (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 1-2 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients, except steak, in a large, self-closing plastic bag or glass bowl.
  2. Add steak, turning to coat well. Marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes, or longer for extra flavor.
  3. Remove steak from marinade and grill over medium-high heat 6-8 minutes per side for medium rare (145 8F) to medium (160 8F) doneness. Baste with remaining marinade halfway through cooking, if desired. Discard any leftover marinade.
  4. Serving Suggestion: Grill onion slices and serve over steak.
