Frango com molho de tomate (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 3-5 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Season chicken with saffron, chili flakes , garlic and saffron, if you have time season and let sit for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat pan with olive oil and saute onions until softened. Season with s+p.
  3. Start cooking chicken skin side down first. Season again with s+p.
  4. Do not peak or move around the chicken until chicken moves freely when you shake the pan. So that it creates a crust and will not stick to pan. Then flip.
  5. Add plum tomatoes and red wine, simmer low uncovered for 40 minutes.
