Boneless chicken breasts with mushrooms italian style (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about 3-5 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Use a medium-size skillet over medium heat to saute the mushrooms in the 3 tablespoons of butter until tender.
  2. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  3. Sprinkle the chicken breasts with lemon juice, season lightly with salt and pepper, and rub gently into the chicken.
  4. Heat the 5 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet.
  5. Quickly turn the chicken in the butter to completely coat the pieces.
  6. Cover the skillet and bakein a preheated 400 8 oven for 6-8 minutes.
  7. The chicken should feel slightly springy when you press it with a finger.
  8. Place the breasts on 6 warmed dinner plates.
  9. Add the beef gravy to the skillet and bring almost to a boil.
  10. Add the cream and cook at the same high heat until the sauce begins to thicken, then add the mushrooms.
  11. Season to taste.
  12. Spoon some sauce over each chicken breast.
